10 Things To Do in Paris

It’s true, Paris is a magical city! The history, the people, and the things to do there are exceptional. At least for a girl from Oklahoma it is. I’ve been there twice and both times I traveled with a detailed itinerary - without it, I don’t think I could have enjoyed it as much as I did. Some things I learned were to only visit 2-3 main attractions a day, make reservations if you can and buy tickets to skip lines. It’s better to be prepared in a city this big with everybody trying to do the same things as you, then be frustrated by waiting hours in lines (with no guarantees to get into the attractions you’ve been dreaming of).

Here are 10 things to do to make the most of your time in Paris:

Skip the crowds and explore the famous Château with a personalized tour and bike ride. You will also visit an award-winning food market on this tour and eat your fresh lunch on the palace gardens. This tour lasts all day and was one of my personal favorites! 10/10!!!

One word: Romance! This dinner cruise with panoramic windows passes by landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum and Paris’s Lady Liberty. A 3-course meal, champagne and live music is included!

Ever heard of the “Mona Lisa”? This is her home. This museum also houses about 380,000 other pieces of other famous art and architecture. This Museum was once a royal palace until King Louis XIV moved the royals to Versailles. In 1793, the once royal palace reopened as the largest art museum in the world and still holds that title to this day.

For me, this café was made famous by watching the popular Netflix series, “Emily in Paris”. As one of Paris’s best kept secrets, it is only steps outside of the Louvre Museum and offers fantastic/aesthetic picture opportunities.

The Champs-Élysées is like the Paris Rodeo Drive. Once filled with fields and kitchen gardens lined with two rows of elm trees and flowerbeds is now an international shopping attraction. Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Lous Vuitton, Mac and Zara are just a few stores the historic site has to offer.

The Arc de Triomphe is a national symbol and major monument at the top of the Champs-Élysées. The monument honors the soldiers who fought and died in the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.

Known for a unique culinary experience in an enchanting Parisian atmosphere, César Paris does not disappoint. The food is delicious! This restaurant is also known for its Hall of Fame guest list, so make a reservation well in advance if you are trying to get in!

The Eiffel Tower is an undeniably famous attraction known across the world, and probably the most popular attraction in Paris. With that being said, seeing the Eiffel Tower up close is a must and finding really cool photo spots is just as important. The best Instagram worthy photo spots and views of the Eiffel Tower are actually on hidden streets. Check out this TikTok to see where.

A tour bus is a great way to learn the layout of any new city you are visiting. I like the ones where you can hop on and hop off at main attractions. You can purchase a pass for a day or two and use these buses for transportation - and most have their own local tour guides to tell you of the history of the city. Take advantage!

While in this magical city, it would only be right to visit the happiest place on earth. Disneyland Paris is located about 32 kilometers (20 miles) east of Paris. There are two parks at this location: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. Some popular attractions include Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel campuses/rides.
